We’re speechless… and also curious whether we would ever be able to eat any of these cakes, let along cut into one of them. But, we want one anyway.
Of course, we also think that you should read the book while you eat its cake doppelganger, so why not visit NYPL’s online catalog and pick one up today!

South Korea churches’ beacons an eyesore to some: Red neon crosses are a common sight atop churches in South Korea. Church leaders say they are an important symbol of faith, but critics see them as an annoying source of light pollution.

This is the very first thing I noticed my first night in Korea! Neon crosses EVERYWHERE. One shines in my window, lighting up my bedroom at night.

Here is another sneak peek of a Custom Piece: a CHEESEBURGER ring!
I still have some more sanding, lacquering, and finishing to do, but it’s almost done!
Ignore the horrible cell phone quality photo; I will take some GOOD photo’s soon especially since this ring won’t be offered in the regular jewelry line because it’s a custom ring.
Any thoughts?

I got new glasses! This is the closest I could get to cat eyes in the underground market in my town. I spotted them and immediately thought “archaeologists in the 1930s would totally wear these glasses!” and with my impending trip to the ruins of the middle east, it seemed appropriate. This is how I make most of my fashion choices. I also got a pair of sunglasses (Rayban Clubmasters) with the same thought in mind. Those will have the prescription put in by Tuesday.
Also, welcome to my kitchen/living room! Yes that is my entire kitchen. And I may or may not be building a fort to camp out in all day today.

I’ve never known what to do with long hair. Once my hair gets long, I get bored and cut it short again. This time, I am determined to let it get really really long so I’ve started attempting to style it. This is a sloppy rope braid around my head with a cute little bow I bought at my favorite store in Korea full of trinkets called Art Box (no art supplies though, sad!)

going shopping for another pair of glasses this weekend. fingers crossed I can find a pair of cat eye glasses like these. I’ve got square wooden frames and straight up nerd frames, now I need something more feminine.

I apologize for what not being able to fall asleep has made me do.
My mind feels like it goes this fast sometimes and I can’t shut it off.
Love you.
